The past week was pretty much consumed with attending to the health of my only sibling (brother Sandy) who lives south of Melbourne, Australia. He had a brain tumor removed last Saturday. It turned out to be a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma, a fairly nasty beast. He’s now home awaiting decisions on follow up treatment. So I’ve decided to go to Australia on my way home from Sarah’s wedding on DC. We leave for DC on Tuesday morning, visit friends and family around the wedding on March 14, and return west on March 31. From Seattle Bill will come home to Juneau and I will go on to Australia. I’ve booked a 6-week stay down under. Stay tuned.
